BRAINS CHOOSE AMD
USING ZOMBIES TO CHALLENGE MICROCHIP BUYING BEHAVIOUR

INSIGHT
What happens when habitual buying behaviour goes unchecked? The answer is that it continues. Automatic. Unconscious. Zombified. This was the state of play in the microprocessor market. Intel had long since lost the innovation lead, yet Cloud Service Providers (CSP) continued to default to this choice of chip, failing to consider favourable market alternatives like our client, AMD. We needed to help AMD challenge this behaviour. How?
By positioning our target audience as braindead zombies.
Naturally.

IDEA
‘Brains Choose AMD’ soon came aliiiive. The idea was simple: actively challenge our audience to consider if they’re acting like zombies when choosing Intel. To execute our creative thought, we paired zombie images with creative zombie-themed lines that echoed the unconscious decision-making processes our audience followed. AMD is the innovation leader.
They lead the market in virtually all metrics, including: speed, security, efficiency, and more. The purpose of our, admittedly, bold approach, was to encourage CSP self-analysis, so they could see where AMD dominates Intel, and where they could capitalise on opportunities to grow market share against their own competitors with better cloud performance.
